Questions before you order?

What exactly am I buying?
A five-letter correspondence with the figure you choose. The letters are handwritten, mailed one at a time, and written for whoever you tell us they're for. You can reply to every one. Shipping is free.
When will the first letter arrive?
Your first letter typically arrives within 7 to 10 days. Later letters follow the pace of the correspondence: write back and the next one answers you, stay quiet and they still arrive about a month apart.
Is each letter written by a person or by AI?
A bit of both, and we're glad to be clear about it. Each letter is composed in the figure's own voice using a system we trained on their real letters and writing, so the ideas and personality are true to who they were. Then a real person reviews and refines every letter before it goes out. The result is original and personal, never pulled off a shelf.
Do I have to write back?
Not at all. The letters keep coming whether you reply or not. If you do write back, your pen pal reads every word and the next letter answers you. Every letter includes simple instructions for replying online or by mail.
Can I send this as a gift?
Yes. Use the gift checkout instead and you'll get a printable gift certificate right away, with an optional personal message. Their first letter is mailed once they open the gift and confirm their mailing address.
What if I'm not happy with it?
If your first letter disappoints, we refund the order in full. See our refund policy for details.
