We want you to love your Historical Pen Pals experience. If something isn't right, we'll make it right. Here's our straightforward policy.
Our Satisfaction Guarantee
If you're not delighted with your first letter, we'll refund your order in full — no questions asked. We believe in our product and want you to feel confident trying it.
Delivery Timeline
Letter Creation: 3-5 business days
We craft your personalized letter with care
Shipping: 2-5 business days
Via USPS First Class Mail within the continental US
Total: 5-10 business days
Most letters arrive within one week
International orders: May take 2-4 additional weeks depending on destination. Additional shipping fees may apply.
When You Can Request a Refund
- •Not satisfied with quality: If your first letter doesn't meet expectations, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund.
- •Lost in mail: If your letter doesn't arrive within 3 weeks (US) or 6 weeks (international), we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.
- •Damaged letter: If your letter arrives damaged, send us a photo and we'll send a replacement immediately.
- •Wrong recipient info: If we used incorrect information you provided, we cannot offer a refund but will work with you on a solution.
Multi-Letter Packages
For 3-letter packages:
- •Full refund available before the first letter ships
- •Pro-rated refund for unshipped letters after the first letter
- •Quality issues handled on a per-letter basis
Subscriptions
- •Cancel anytime — no cancellation fees
- •Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- •We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods
- •Letters in progress will still be delivered

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days and will appear on your original payment method.
What We Can't Refund
- ✗Letters already delivered and opened (unless quality issue)
- ✗Requests made more than 30 days after delivery
- ✗Issues caused by incorrect shipping information you provided
- ✗Change of mind about the historical figure chosen
